WELCOME TO THE PLUMPEDIA
This is your place for all things plum/plumcot. Below you will find selection and storage tips, nutrition information, recipes and so much more...

SELECTION & STORAGE TIPS
Select a plum or plumcot that is firm or firm with a slight give. The fruit is ripe when picked, so the preferred texture is up to your discretion. An overripe plum will feel similar to a water balloon when you give it a slight squeeze.
Plums and plumcots are best stored stem end down at room temperature on the counter, or in the bag or clamshell the fruit was purchased in. If a firm plum is your favorite, then feel free to bite into it the minute you bring it home. If you prefer a softer piece of fruit, leave the fruit on the counter for a few days until it has a little give when lightly squeezed.

NOT ONLY DO PLUMS TASTES GOOD THEY ARE GOOD FOR YOU
Plums and plumcots have potential to be recognized as an emerging super-food. They contain fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron and Potassium. Their naturally occurring sugars help regulate gut digestion and move food through the intestinal track. Plums are a low glycemic index food, and are a healthy additional to almost any diet.
